CREATING / DESIGNING A CHRISTMAS CARD (NOTE: IT'S A FRIEND CARD)

IN DESIGN: CHRISTMAS CARD 2023

CREATING MY PERSON OF INSPIRATION:

I created this paperwork of Stephen Mulhern just for a bit of messing around since I could not have time to think of better solutions for this to work. I mostly used some pieces of colorued paper and a few cut-out letters from magazines and books to make this. I didn't even like any of this because of how stupid and bad-looking it is. I could improve this artwork by adding more than just coloured paper and by making this actually look like a human being not just a goofy character. My opinion on the artist I looked at for this task (Andy Warhol) was above average due to his most famous works he has done in his lifetime and the fact that he is quite good at painting.

COLLAGE PORTRAIT INSPIRED BY BISA BUTLER:

This is a collage that was inspired by the American artist Bisa Butler. I made this collage with the use of chalk, coloured pens, watercolour, crayons, and even all of it at once in one section. The things that went well with this task were:

  • The accuracy and drawings of the different parts of the face
  • The amount of equipment used for making this as interesting as possible (e.g., crayons)
I could possibly improve this collage by finishing off the ears since I never did them from the beginning and by tracing the whole face that could make this collage as accurate and neat as possible. My opinion on the artist I looked at for this task was good and that was because of how she makes her works with all the colours and patterns she can think of at any time during a collage.

DRAWINGS OF HARRISON FORD INSPIRED BY JULIAN OPIE:

    BEFORE AND AFTER

I created these portraits of Harrison Ford that were inspired by the artist Julian Opie and they were made quite well if I do say so myself. The things that went well with these portraits were:

  • The tracings of their human face and body
  • The background on the finished official portrait (the after one)
  • The colours that were used to create these portraits
I like the fact that my Harrison Ford portrait looks like a historical figure from the BC / AD era and that it looks like an actual painting you would probably see in an art museum. I don't think I need to improve this because of the added background and features I added to my official portrait on the right side of this sentence above. My opinion on the artist we looked at for this task (Julian Opie) was quite alright and there was not much to say about his works.

COMMENT:  This photo is natural and good only cause I took it up the stairs during this project.

COMMENT: This photo is quite alright but had problems with how blurry it went.

COMMENT: This photo is probably the best one I have ever been in because I am being like that I don't care about anything around myself and life.

COMMENT: This photo looks nice and has some good characteristics in it such as being serious, ready for action, and desperate for attention.
